Plaque

Another entry in the “Is it fine art?” category.

This wall plaque was made in Jamaica. It is crafted from green leather stretched over a wooden heart-shaped background. Looks tricky to do. The tag on the back indicates that someone was selling it for $59.99 at one time. I paid a lot less for it. To me, the piece looks a bit spooky, but I am certainly no art expert.

Hello AARP!

Wall plaques are a common yard sale find. Most of them are pretty mundane. This one is actually a bit humorous, or maybe I am just getting close to the age where I can relate to such things. I don’t eat steak, so at least I won’t need to worry about that one.
